Bio-Terrazzo
Innovative and eco-friendly flooring solution that combines the timeless beauty of natural stone with the sustainability of plant-based binding agents.
Utilizes binding agents derived from vegetable oils, making it completely free of harmful chemicals found on the International Living Future's Red List, including BPA. Bio Terrazzo is virtually carbon neutral, setting a new standard for sustainable flooring options.
Rustic
its distinctive non-ground, textured surface that adds depth, character, and slip-resistance to any exterior space.
This unique terrazzo system can be installed using either the bonded or monolithic method. The textured surface provides excellent traction, making it an ideal choice for outdoor areas exposed to varying weather conditions.
Polyacrylate
Typically 3/8" thick polymer modified cement matrix veneer. The incorporation of specialized polymers into the cement matrix imbues the terrazzo with enhanced strength and flexibility.
The key advantage of polyacrylate terrazzo is its ability to effectively reduce moisture vapor transmission.
Bonded
This system is ideal for applications where the installation area has a recessed depth ranging from 1-1/4 to 1-3/4 inches that needs to be filled in addition to the 1/2 inch terrazzo topping.
The sand-cement underbed reduces the dependence on the concrete slab for achieving flatness.
Monolithic
Is a durable and attractive flooring option that consists of a 1/2-inch thick cement-based matrix layer applied as a veneer over a properly prepared concrete slab.
With its fast installation and cost-effective pricing, this option is ideal for projects where time and budget constraints are paramount. The success and longevity of the terrazzo installation is highly dependent on the quality, flatness, and structural integrity of the underlying concrete substrate.
Sand Cushion
A 3" thick multi-component system, it is considered the best cement system. A cement matrix and underbed with wire reinforcing, isolation sheet, and sand layer.
The underbed's thickness, wire mesh reinforcing, isolation sheeting, and sand layer will absorb minor substrate defects and prevent mirroring to the surface. Properly positioned divider strips are essential for controlling anticipated contraction and providing an aesthetic design.
Resinous Terrazzo
Resinous terrazzo is considered the premier "thin-set" flooring system. It consists of a thin layer, typically 1/4" to 3/8" thick.
